Repair help » 318 heads on a 360? » 5/02/2018 11:59 am |
TJay have you tried pulling the distributor up a little and turning the rotor 180*. It is possible to get the timing off by 180* because the TDC mark comes up twice in a firing rotation.

Repair help » 1964 Dodge 440 » 5/11/2016 10:08 am |
I would just get the original system checked to see what repairs are necessary before going to an aftermarket replacement. It may be something as simple as a compressor seal and a recharge. Is all of the original system still there and hooked up?

Repair help » 727 Trans Shop » 1/12/2016 1:40 pm |
You can use the original 318 flex plate and torque converter. The fact the trans came from a truck means nothing as long as it was a small block. Unless it's a lockup trans. If the splines on the input shaft go all the way to the tip it's a nonlockup. If the end of the shaft has a smopoth area in front of the splines it's a lockup and it takes a different converter. What year truck did it come from?

If it's a factory hood yes if it's aftermarket no. What do you mean by excellent condition. No scratchs or cracks ? A good Mopar site that has a good bunch of experts on it is http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php . You will get answers a lot quicker and correct there about most anything Mopar and more..

Repair help » Brake lights » 2/01/2013 2:42 pm |
The switch is in the column even with the turn signal lever and I do believe the switch is available at the parts store. If you get the switch you could plug it into the harness before tearing the column apart to be sure that it will fix the problem. You can get to the plug just under the dash by the steering coulmn. If you give me your Email address I'll send you a copy of our club news letter with a memebrship form included. stumpy383@hotmail.com
Repair help » Brake lights » 2/01/2013 11:59 am |
Brake lights run through the turn signal wires. there is no seperate wire for them. The way it works is the brake light switch sends power to the turn signal switch when you step on the pedal. The turn signal switch has a set of contacts that take that power and feed it to the right and left rear turn signal wires .When you use the trun signals the switch uses another set of contacts for the right or left front and rear wires. What color is the 4th wire?
