Drag Racing Legend Bobby Langley passed away

Pioneer Texas drag racer Bobby Langley, known throughout the southwest for his line of good-looking and hard-running Scorpion dragsters, died Oct. 21. He was 79.

Langley and his wife Ruth were active members of the thriving nostalgia movement, attending numerous events and cackling his Scorpion race cars. He was a past NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion honoree. In addition to his wife, Langley is survived by his son, Jack, and daughter, Judy Gregory; brother, Harold Lee Langley; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Re: Drag Racing Legend Bobby Langley passed away

Sorry to hear about Bobby.  I grew up watching him race the Scorpians at Green Valley and spoke with him for many years.  He was well liked by everyone and he will be missed.  Last time I spoke to Bobby was about 3 years ago when I discovered an article about him and sent him the article.

Rest In Peace
