Lynn Nickerson lost his battle with cancer. He fought it for many, many years. Lynn was a good man, very caring, a friend to all. An outstanding drag race announcer, announcing for the NHRA, Texas Raceway, Texas Motorplex and lots of other venues.
He will be missed by those that knew him.
May you rest in peace now our friend.

I heard that he passed away earlier today. He will be missed. He was a great announcer and great person. He was always at the Division 4 banquets telling stories about each dirver before they were given their Wally's.

I knew you guys wouldn't forget. I just figured out what I was doing wrong to register from the old site.
Lynn knew his Mopars and was as good as any who manned the mic.

I was really shocked to find out he was younger than I am. He will be missed at the tracks that is for sure.

Did you know that Moose, the starter, died from injuries from a 4 wheeler accident at the track?
