What: Annual CHILI COOK OFF----and----October CLUB MEETING Combo
Where: Texas Trailer Man Dealership, 2411 Thomas Road, corner Midway Road, Haltom City
When: 4:00 pm till - - - - we are finished
What to bring: Ample portion of your favorite Chili, in a Crock Pot.
If you don't want to bring Chili, bring some snacks, or chips, or desert
We Provide: Sodas, Water, Plates, Bowls, Spoons, Forks, Knives, Napkins. We will provide electrical plug ins for your crock pots to keep Chili Warm.
We will have Judges tasting each Chili and determining which will be the winner for this year - The winner will take home the Roving Chili Cook Off Plaque.
Also, we will have the Cowtown Mopars Club Meeting for the month of October. So, bring along some guests to enjoy the Chili and fixings - and who also might want to join up with our Club.
We are looking forward to seeing every one of our club members in attendance !!

2. Pair NEW front Adjustable Tubular Upper Control Arms for 73 Up A-bodies with large ball joints, Complete with ball joints. $ 200. firm
3. NEW set of TTI 2" Headers TTI440-200C4, Ceramic Coated 2" headers - still in the box. Got them for our '74 Dart to use with Tubular K-Member, but decided not to go that direction. They've been stored above my office for several years. Got them down yesterday, gonna sell them. They are $ 918. right now from TTI. $ 800. firm
4. '67 Dart roller with bunch of parts, original 4 speed, have the trans and bell housing with the car. Nice body. Need to sell.

I plan on being there - be good time to get in some time trials to know how the track is going to be. Plus, we will park our rigs and leave them - or stay with them over night on Friday night - so we'll have good parking for Saturday's event - - an Sunday's Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge race as well.

Club Meeting for November has changed locations. Instead of being at Spring Creek BBQ this month the meeting will be at Texas Trailer Man, Bill Boon's - at 2411 Thomas Road in Haltom City. Meeting is this Sunday November 17th, starts at 4:00pm - We will have the cooker fired up and cook some hamburgers and hot dogs. Everyone bring a side dish if you choose, or a desert and what you want to drink. After the meeting we are going to have a special showing of the Movie "Snake and Mongoose". We know everyone will enjoy seeing this movie. Pop you some Popcorn at home and bring it with you so you will feel like you are at the real movie house !!! See ya there

Then Saturday gates will open at 8am for the 6th annual Mopar's at the Motorplex - presented this year by Mopar Action's MEGA MOPAR Series and the Texas Motorplex. Friday evening April 26th - MOPARS against the World. Gates open 4:00pm, open time trials and bracket racing till we are worn out !! All car brands against us MOPAR guys. Race & play till late, then if you choose - stay over night at the track.
Saturday April 27th, 2013 - - 6th Annual MOPARS at the MOTORPLEX
Gates open 8:00am
Time Trials till about noon. Eliminations starting about noon.
All classes pretty much remain the same as last year with a few minor improvements.
MODERN Hemi Shootout - 2002 and newer Mopar vehicles. 1/4 mile, full .500 tree, All ET's run
NOSTALGIA Super Stock - All makes run - 1/4 mile, Indexed, full .500 tree, footbrake
ELECTRONICS - 1/8th Mile, .500 full tree, All ET's run, Crosstalk on.
SUPER PRO - 1/8th Mile, 7.90 and quicker, .500 full tree, Footbrake.

Newly crowned NHRA PRO STOCK champion Allen Johnson and Jeg Coughlin to become PRO STOCK teammates in 2013 and beyond
Five-time world champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. will become teammates with 2012 champ Allen Johnson with a two-car venture in the NHRA Pro Stock category beginning in 2013. Both men will continue to drive Mopar-backed Dodge Avengers powered by Hemi motors from Johnson's J&J Racing shop.
